Easter Hunt Competition – Terms & Conditions

1. Competition Overview

The Easter Hunt competition is organised by The Driving Instructor, a trading name of HPDL Car Park Management Ltd.

Participants search for official TDI L-Top boxes hidden across designated locations and follow the instructions provided to enter the prize draws.

There will be three separate prize draws, conducted live on The Driving Instructor Facebook page:

🥉 Third Prize Draw – Chocolate Hamper
🥈 Second Prize Draw – £240 Driving Lesson Voucher
🥇 Final Grand Prize Draw – Free Driving Lessons Until You Pass*

2. Eligibility

To enter the competition, participants must:

Be aged 17 or over
Be legally eligible to learn to drive in the United Kingdom
Hold a valid UK provisional driving licence before any driving lessons commence
Meet DVSA medical and legal fitness to drive requirements
Not be a current pupil of The Driving Instructor at the time of entry

The organiser reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time.

3. How to Participate

Participants must locate official TDI L-Top boxes using provided clues
Entry instructions inside each box must be followed correctly
Only one box may be claimed per person/household unless otherwise stated
Entries must be completed within the competition period

Once the entry period closes, prize draws will be conducted live via Facebook.

4. Prize Structure

🥉 Third Prize

Chocolate Easter hamper.

🥈 Second Prize

£240 Driving Lesson Voucher:

Redeemable only with The Driving Instructor
No cash alternative
Must be used within 6 months

🥇 Grand Prize – Free Lessons Until You Pass*

The winner will receive free standard driving lessons with The Driving Instructor.

*“Until you pass” is subject to the conditions below.

5. Grand Prize Conditions

Lessons are capped at a maximum of 60 hours
Total prize value up to £2,400
The winner must start lessons within 6 weeks of accepting the prize
Lessons must take place within the Bassetlaw service area
Lessons are subject to instructor availability
The prize covers lesson time only (test fees, theory tests, retests, medicals, and third-party costs are excluded)
The prize is non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available

Pass Deadline

The winner must pass their theory test within 3 months of the prize.

Failure to pass within this timeframe will result in the remaining prize hours being forfeited.

6. Lesson Conduct & Participation

To retain the prize, the winner must:

Attend lessons regularly as agreed with the instructor
Follow professional instruction and guidance
Provide adequate notice for cancellations

Excessive cancellations, non-attendance, unsafe behaviour, or failure to engage may result in withdrawal of the prize.

7. Filming, Recording & Media Consent

As part of this prize, lessons may be:

Video recorded
Photographed
Audio recorded

Recordings may be used for:

Educational and training purposes
Promotional and marketing content
Social media, website, and advertising materials

By accepting the prize, winners grant The Driving Instructor full permission to use this content without time or geographic restriction.

Participants may withdraw media consent in writing; however, this may affect eligibility to continue receiving the prize.

8. Fair Use & Safety

Instruction is provided in accordance with DVSA guidance and road safety standards
The instructor’s professional judgment is final regarding readiness for tests
The organiser reserves the right to substitute instructors if required

9. Disqualification

Participants may be disqualified for:

Providing false information
Tampering with competition materials
Dangerous, abusive, or unlawful behaviour
Breaching these Terms & Conditions

The organiser’s decision is final.

10. General

The organiser reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary
Prizes are subject to availability
Entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions
This competition is governed by the laws of England and Wales
